Posted in the wrong section...right section this time haha.

Does anyone know if there is a screen or button I can push that shows me how many miles I have left in the tank after the yellow empty light turns on? I drive a 2006 Mercedes C230 Sports Sedan. I read for the 2007 model, you can have it programmed in by a mechanic?

Thanks.

I would imagine the computer in a 2006 would be similar to a 2005. In my 2005, you scroll through the menu with the folder buttons until you find the screen that shows your average fuel economy since start. Press the down arrow button, and it should show you distance to empty. One more tap of the down button will show you your average fuel economy since last reset.

You should still be able to display the DTE on the trip computer even after the low fuel light is illuminated, but I think that once it's below a certain number of miles (20?) it stops showing a value and just displays something like "Visit Fueling Station".

+1 - distance to empty - I've been down to 20 kms -would never risk any more!!

One way to satisfy yourself would be to get down to say 20-30 miles left and see how much it takes to refill the tank and compare it to the tank capacity in your handbook/model
