Ambitious project. Just be cautious with adding that much weight to the front end as its going to throw the handling way out. I drove a Monster Miata (302 V8 in place of the 4 cyl) it was great in a straight line but under steered like crazy making it an irritating thing to drive. Definitely interested in how you make out.

thanks!!

can't say anything about that yet but the weight is not al just on the front axle added the gearbox will be about 30cm more back then the end of the original gearbox so also the weight is behing the front axle
it will be heavier offcourse but i suspect the weight to be below 1300kg oem 2.6 automatic is 1200kg so it is still a light car i thinks
so we will see
i will also go for wider tyres in the front to 235

The definite idea is to get as much weight behind the front axle as possible. Perhaps put a couple of cement bags under the back seat.. ;) Again my hats off to you on a great project.

engine is in the car

got the engine in the engine bay and it fits pretty good
i got enough room in between the engine and radiator
also in the back of the engine there is still some room to put
the oem interior fan cover back with some modifications
the fan will be placed on the place of the battery
because the cover needs to be moved about 3 TO 4 CM to
the firewall
also very important the hood will close without any problems

At first I was skeptical about this project, but you are making good progress. Nice work.

you dont "need" power steering- dont let that hinder your progress.

my 83 porsche 944 didnt have it and it was an awesome car to drive.

you deserve the "modification of the year" award for this project.
well done and keep us posted.

as it is looking right it will fit and work

so got the new engine mounts made and welded new mounting plates in the chassis

also got the interior fan replaced to generate some extra space on the back side of the engine.

next thing will be the transmission build in

started on the rear suspension and subframe mods

so I got some work done

got the steeringbox dropped so it will not hit the oilsump anymore
also got the steeringbox connected again to the steeringwheel.
most of the work in the enginebay is done. I got to place the transmission cooler but first need the front bumper for it. I don't have it yet.
and alos need to do some mods to the front suspension top mounts because I'm going to swap to coil overs front and back.

I have the full rear suspension and subframe dropped and dismantled also the donor s600 subframe is a part.
I'm going to use the diff axles and wheelhubs from the s600 in the 190 rear suspensions so need to sort out some thing to make it fit and work good

here is the video
