I purchase 16GB SDHC card for my 2009 E350 i wasnted to copy all my MP3 and play from memory card.

16GB SDHC class 10 card doe snot work any reason why ?

I have a 2GB regular SD card that works fine.

Question : what card will work and max capacity ?

Thanks

I don't know.

If it is non-HC a 2GB (always non-HC) should work, and a 4 GB Non-HC might work, but a 4 GB (and up) SDHC will not work.

If it is SDHC, then a 2GB should work, a 4 GB (and up) SDHC should work, (However, depending on how and when it was designed it might have a capacity limit smaller then the Full SDHC limit. i.e. only up to 8 but not 16, or up to 16 but not 32)

Mine W211 is an 07, so I can't do any tests. All this comes from a lot of experience with cameras, phones and music players

SDXC cards are backwards compatible with SDHC and SD based on the new 3.0 industry
conventions standards.

Not sure if the 09 W211 will recognize the extra memory, but the card should be recognized and be usable up to the memory limit the car can handle.

Sorry, you are mistaken.

Using SDXC - SD Association

The devices are backwards compatible, the cards are not.
