I found one about 7 hours away. Unfortunatley I will have to drive a twisting mountain road on the way back which is never monitored by police.

1990 300CE, Auto, 256,000 km's. $8000 CDN

I know there's nothing more expensive than a cheap Mercedes. So tell me, are the km's just too high to be considering this one?

Unfortunatley the only other 300CE that isn't a 14 hour drive has been modified by someone who has very contrasting tastes to what I consider should be done to this car; I can't say I'd want to buy a car with shaved emblems, peeling tint, really ugly replica AMG wheels and the ever so blasphemous removal of the star!

Keep looking. I found my 90 300CE back in November. 99,000 miles, stone stock for $4500.00
$8,000 seems high for the mileage. Are there full service records?

Good Luck. Hope you find the one you want. Mine is a great driving car. I had a 300E sedan before and much prefer the coupe.

Thank you for the reply, but this car would be purchased in Canada and not the United States. Our economies are starkly different as most things are cheaper in your country.

That amount of miles shouldn't be a problem if the car has had regular service. Ask for service records or spend a few dollars to have the car checked out.

good luck,
