Hi all,

I'm looking to make my first big purchase and have always fantasized about the McLaren SLR. Anyway, I'm thinking about this:
2006 Used Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren SLR McLaren 2dr Cpe 5.5L at Fort Lauderdale Collection South Serving Ft LAUDERDALE, FL, IID 11577451

Just a few q's:

1)Would there still be any depreciation on the car?
2)What would maintenance costs be like, for all of you with experience...
3)Is it strange that the car has such low mileage? I would obviously take it for a PPI

hi Jamie, congrats on picking the best supercar ever produced depreciation it seems is directly connected to mileage, too many owners afraid of driving it, I have over 35000 miles on my 08 slr roadster, its the best its rare, and its beautiful, maintenance can be high when or if required, that's the beauty of the slr, while lambos, Ferrari aston etc, are a little cheaper to repair, they are always having to repair something, I've never had to repair a single thing, don't know if you bought one already however try for one with 10000 miles or more to save a few dollars, ask any slr tech and he'll tell you the slr amg engine doesn't even settle till 100,000 miles, adios for now G.

The SLR is a great choice for a supercar. You won't be disappointed.
