MBNA is in the classics business in Southern California. Recently, I was driving through Irvine, Ca. and noticed the new Mercedes Benz Classics Center in, located in the old Saleen HQ. I stopped in and was able to admire several vehicles from the MBZ museum, including many pre-war cars, an 1886 patent Motorcar, one of the few C-111's and a Sauber C291 Group C racer.

The guys there tell me this is inteded to be a full service dealership, with restoration facilities and parts department. For those of you who are not inclined to do-it-yourself restorations, this might be a sweet spot to check out.

The center is open M-F, 8am to 4pm. Phone is 949-598-4850. They tell me they will sell or work on anything from 1986 or older (except 300E's and 190Cs'). Oh, they also sell MBZ models, ties, books, etc. Check it out if you can
