I ran across this looking for something entirely different in the WIS the other day (usually how it goes)

With all the recent talk of U900 and SBU spool valves, I thought I'd throw it into the mix, if nothing more than for interest sake.

The picture is from a U1600AG and shows a very different spool valve setup from most I've seen. Geez, I thought when I first got my mog that it was a bit confusing, now I feel mine is the "simple" version.

You can tell this is a bit older SBU (well, newer than mine, but older than some I've seen) as the Working/Crawling set is still selected via levers, not via dials for air cylinders like some of the more modern 437 series and the likes. Yet has the newer, or optional fancier spool valves.

Mike,

Add a remote solenoid valve from Surplus Center to turn each circuit into two. That's what I did.

I actually was thinking of doing 4 joystick controlled stacked valves (2 joysticks), intercepting the flow from the pump to the original valves, and using a power beyond connection to flow to the original valves...

It is about $1000 though for everything....

These controls are in our U140 / LBU as well. I haven't had an opportunity to experiment with them yet, but can add to the thread once I have.

Cheers!

looks like the setup you would find on a loader pull back and towards your leg and the loader curls up and the buck is raised up. Looks to be way easier to use in this setup with a front end loader.
