What is the advantage to me of being a member? I've looked at it a couple of times and see that it comes with a spiffy magazine subscription, but what else does it get me?

Besides another card to put in my wallet, I mean.

Discounts, man, discounts

The biggest thing for me is that it gets me 15% off of parts at my local Mercedes Stealership. It has already paid for my membership. Not all dealers do this, but if you ask around, they will tell you. Plus, the magazine is really great. Spend the $40 or whatever it is now.

Some dude at the parts store told me I might wanna join but for $50 bucks it sounds a little steep. If you could get 15% off parts that's nice, but if I want a real deal i'll ask my auntie who works at SSF, a big parts supplier. They even sell parts to germanstar and other suppliers. Wholesale has its advantages.

Scott, I belong to the Chicago Chapter. There are about 5 or 6 events during the year that we get together - cruises, rallys, car shows, dinners, etc. We've met some nice fellow MB enthusiasts. And yes, the magazine is excellent. Performance Products has extended me the 15% member discount for years. It really paid off when I bought a windscreen. If you consider yourself an "enthusiast", I highly recomend it.

Here is an example from the San Diego section: MBCA San Diego
