Just curious. Which windshield wiper is the best for MB?

I personally says W124s and W201s (single arm wiper) is the best, but if it is some improvement, why the newer MB (W140, W220) are back to twin-arms wiper?

It’s rainy season here and watching MBs wipers bringing this thoughts....

Hi deathrattle,

"so few saloon/sedan cars have rear wipers. Can't get my head around that."

I think the answer is $.

Have you used Rainex? Works great.

Cheers from snowy Concord, MBL

I’d rather not have a windshield wiper on my rear window. It’s fine for hatchbacks and SUVs but would be very odd on a sedan.

Yup. I saw this '86 Mazda with rear wiper and it was not very good to look at.

Hi deathrattle,

Motormania carries Rain-X & probably the blades too.

http://www.motormania.co.uk/product_details.asp?intDescID=284

There is a large chain of car parts stores in London, I just can't remember the name. A few years ago we got a W&G Shawn 'nodder' from them (which lives just behind the back glass in my Mk1 3.4L).[:D]

On a more sober note: you probably know about this unfortunate development on your motorways already: the SPECS speed camera system. In case you may have missed it, here is a short article originally published in "Truck and Driver".

Gotta plow my driveway today.... I was looking at London Jam Cams earlier, looks like a nice day where you are.

Regards, MBL

Well i really liked the single wiper on my 124 and was surprised that this was not continued throughout the ranges thereafter.Maybe there was a technical reason?

I dunno, somehow I feel the single arms is more "delicate"?
