Common practice in many countries where import duties/tariff's are prohibitive as compared to local assembly - the vast majority of Sprinters and E-Class in international markets are done this way.

I think I mentioned that MB has gotten more aggressive this year in intl markets to the detriment of large allocation increases for US market.

Why sell a ML here in the US when in many Asian/South American and other markets they can be successfully sold for $100K ?
