pt. 1
So, got the banks 1 and 2 codes read at AutoZone and thought it was the MAF so I ordered a new one (genuine) and in the meantime cleaned the old one with MAF cleaner. So after cleaning the old one I drive a few days and the check engine light goes off.

pt. 2
I get the new sensor and install it and the very day I install it and drive it 3 times the check engine light comes on again.
Codes read the same. Banks 1 and 2 indicating probable MAF problem.
So what gives?
By installing a new MAF does your computer get used to the old one and when it sees a new one assume there's a problem and have to readjust all over again?

signed,
confused... ;)
