I have a 1973 450sl that wouldn't pass the co2 test,we boiled it down to the map sensor. You can put a little pressure on the adj screw and change the readings and the running of the car.We adjusted it to pass the test but now I have been looking for a map sensor part. The number I have is Bosch 0280100112 that is supposed to be of use from 1973 to 1975.It has a D-Tronics in it.I haven't been able to get a number off the part since it is in the running engine and if I pull it out it might not start again.Does anyone know if this is the only Bosch number that I can use or are there others.thanks.

Hi,
this is a MAP sensor for a European 450 SL. American cars have 0 280 100 100 or later 0 280 100 122 . So if you have a European engine, this is (the only) right one. If it an American engine, it is anyhow wrong. For US engines you have to watch out what ECU you have. A 73 should have 0 280 002 005 ECU and 0 280 100 100 MAP sensor.
