Two major issues w/ these cars invlove the flex disc (for automatics) and head gasket leaks. Make sure to check all the work previously done on the car, test drive it, and do a good visual inspection w/ your mechanic (or at least look for leaks/damage on your own).

Have a lift?

If you have access to a lift, your normal maintenance costs would just be for oil, filters, fluids, etc. In other words - normal maintenance costs are no higher than any other car. Obviously, costs rise if you have to pay someone for the routine stuff (best labor charge I've found is $60/hr). These cars are really solid mechanically, as long as you check the vehicle history
