MAF relocation problem

Hello, I did the MAF relocation, the car answers 1 second late and another thing, the kompress pulley don't work in neutral posicion. So I re-relocation the MAF (put in the original location) the problem desapears.
Something to help me?
SLK 230k, 2000 May.

humm only thing i can think off is the MAF is facing the wrong way around?
