My 2014 C250 which I purchased as a Certified Used from the local MB dealer has been great. Best car I have owned in 50 years! I upgraded the shocks to the B6 performance Bilstein for a firmer ride. Never any problems in five years.

They are like anything really, look after it and it will serve you well, treat it like crap and you will have a expensive vehicle when it fails.

Does it have any "common" issues like timing chain stretching, anything common in the top end?

The timing chain teeth on the sprockets wear on the m271 at 180/200km and need change. It an expensive fix even if you have the tools and can rebuild yourself
