Need some help, from my understanding there is no w124 coupe v8, but there are sedan v8s. I was wondering if a m119 v8 out of the 400e would fit inside a 300ce which is a coupe.Any help would be appreciated thinking of maybe starting a project.

You'll have better luck swapping an m113. Not only is it more compact (no butchering the firewall) but it's a superior design to the m119.

The title of the thread was/is "Going for it". This thread lays out what is necessary to do the M119 swap and the skills required. Then there is the money involved. You'd be very hard pressed to duplicate the project for $10K.

I'll watch this thread for a while. It is going to take me several months to recover from the surgery...so

If I was going to do a V8 swap I would go with a GM LS swap over a M119 and I own a W124 with the M119.
