Hey there,

New to the forum...

I have a r129 500sl and I'm stumped with a no power to the ICV, specifically, the grey and purple wire. If I give 12v to that terminal, the car idles beautifully.

When I prob that wire for power, I'm not getting a ground either, it's just completely dead.

I have 2 r129s. One of them runs flawlessly, so I started to swap over some control modules and I've had no luck. OVP relay is new, and the fuses are both powered, I also swapped the main ECU and ICV module as well with no luck.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Maybe provide a wiring diagram, so I can chase this guy down?

Thanks in advance!

Things I've checked so far;

Throttle potentiometer shows "open" circuit when in idle position.
Throttle body switch gives continuity between pins 1 and 2 when in the closed position
Airflow potentiometer is new and adjusted within spec
Ignition control module has been swapped out with a known working unit
CIS-E module has been swapped with a known working unit
