I'm drudging up this old post as it is exactly the info I'm looking for, came up as the first hit in my search, and the link is dead. Kaput. It would seem that in the last 10 years Continental Imports has decided it is not worth their time to provide free help.

We're past time for spring cleaning, so I guess it's general housekeeping? That link is done.

That's great Martin, thanks! I wasn't trying to be snarky, I was trying to be helpful!

Just doing some troubleshooting on a misfire on cylinder 1, and reading about my worst-case-scenarios. Could be a plug, could be a head gasket. Could be easy-peasy, could advance my knowledge of German engineering by light years!!

I know... You are welcome.

I may have that Continental thread converted to PDF somewhere, but the link I put there in it's place is a live link, and the poster on the W210 site he is a smart cookie, so you can reply to that thread...

Misfire has nothing to do with a head gasket. Check your timing, and check the compression of cylinder 1 for fun . Obviously swap the coils around. Coil wires, and spark plug around. I had a bad plug one time many years ago. The top insulator separated, so no compression was achievable...
