I have a 1995 e320 with a m104.992 that I am turboing. I am megasquirting it and I am now looking at intake manifolds to get. I found an intake from a 1991 300sl (r129) that has an m104.98 (24v) and was wondering if anyone knows if the two manifolds are interchangeable?

Im planning on cutting/welding a new box onto the manifold, really only using the flange and injector ports.

Although both are M104 DOHC 4V,
the heads are different in a number
of details, including the mounting of
the CIS electromechanical & EFI
injection set-ups, so you'd have to
do a direct fit-check to see if any
adaptation suitable to your purposes
is a reasonably practicable proposition.
