38 pin, pin 7, code 11.

"Fuel safety shut off to LH-SFI control module"

Servicing the car the other day I read and erased codes. This is the only one that's popped (and has done on a regular basis) up since the last service 12 months 6000 miles ago (hurray) :nerd

But what does it mean?

The car runs perfectly, I used to get spurious codes popping up, but rewiring the TB, upper/lower harness and a new purge valve, 18 months ago put paid to those.

ETA, it doesn't come straight back on, not sure when it's triggered, weeks or months maybe.

It's your throttle actuator most likely. The throttle plate is not matching with the sensor. A few sensors affect it too like Park & Neutral Safety Switch, Stop Lamp, Cruise Control, Engine Speed, and Wheel Speed. A new or rebuilt throttle body should make it go away.

I have that constant code too on my 95 E320's M104.992 engine with the original non-ASR throttle actuator . It runs and idles fine.
