I've been doing seat-of-the-pants tuning for a while now, but I finally gave in and bought an Innovate LC-1. However, from what I've heard over the year I've owned this car, the 103 runs leaner than average. Is this true? If so, what afr am I looking for? Or does it run stoich at 14.7?

under what conditions are you seeing what? Steady state cruise..? WOT? idle?

I suppose starting with idle would basically set the AFR for the entire range requiring only minor tweaks after which. I'm really wondering if this engine is supposed to run lean, and if so, how lean?

not that simple... you should idle around high 14's low 15's.. WOT, mid 12's. steady state cruising stoich is nice, sometimes you can pull off a little leaner.

Put to make Power takes fuel, and Mercedes engines are known for wanting to be on the Fat side to make good #'s.
