hey luke,

here is the sitch... 2001 clk 55 amg 19inch rims. It's time to replace rotors and pads etc..

Brembo 14" kit ~~ too much.

what other suggesstions do you have for front and rear. preferably dril/slot as well as dustless pads.

I may be able to keep orig rotors, but the stock pads
truly suck with the amount of brake dust they put out.

Please let me know.

thanks.

Rotors and pads

People have had good experiences with Porterfield or Mintex pads for dust reduction. You can try Jerry at www.formymercedes.com for sloted rotors. I got slotted and drilled rotors from him and they're a little more pricy that stock (about $1k for four rotors plus Porterfield pads) but much cheaper than big brake upgrades.

I'll second the rec for Porterfield pads...

Put them on the front of my E55 - they are quiet, have good feel, and have beenfade free. Also - VERY little brake dust - compared to those ridiculous stock pads the difference is amazing. Worth the $$$.

Is that for fronts and rears?

Most of the pricing I've seen for Brembo upgrades are about $3k per axle.
