I’ve see some comments about placing a few drops of lube for the advance to work smoothly in the distributor. Where do you do that?

In the center of the shaft, where the small pad is.

Regular engine oil is fine.

A couple of drops. The felt will absorb it over time. Too much and it will spill over.

Hmm, good to know - I didn't know this was a ervice item, you learn something every day lol. In terms of interval, any recommendation every X miles / Y years?

LOL. I just did it...but I do it when I remember. And I can't remember the last time before that.

Wow, lubing the distributor cam really takes me back 40 or so years.

Then there was filing the points and adjusting the gap every 2,500 miles…
