Interested in feedback on the pro's and con's of lowering a 2000 CLK 430 Cabrio. Mercedes dealer says don't do it (tough to align, follows road ruts, etc) wheel retailer (who sells to local Merdedes dealer) says there is no problem.

Comment please.

Thanks

Marv

You will definitely feel the road more. It's a matter of choice...

whether you want to sacrifice a bit of comfort for better cornering and looks. [:D][:D]

Frank is right on...also, there is a camber adjustment kit available for the fronts from your MB dealer. If after you lower your car you take it for an alignment, they should put that on.

There is no MB OEM camber adjustment for the rear, so only pricey aftermarket solutions are currently available.

Another thing to consider if you do lower your car and keep the negative camber (which improves your handling) is that your tires will wear unevenly, and consequently sooner than the norm.

Hey frank, seems like I keep chasing you with these replies...haha. BTW nice site!
