Well first do you have standard halogen bulbs or bi-xenon?

Your owners manual also covers how to change a bulb as well, it is a very simple process.

And the saying goes, you get what you pay for so "cheapest" is not always the best.

Hi, Pratt. Your car came standard with halogen bulbs, and had an upgrade to xenon (which is different from Bi-Xenon). The Xenon upgrade would have a Xenon low beam and a halogen high beam. It is also possible that a prior owner (if there was one) installed a Bi-Xenon kit.

The owner's manual does discuss how to change the bulbs; one easy way to see what you have is to pull the old bulb out. Your manual will also give the bulb German designation; you may have to check for a Canadian equivalent.

When you replace one, you may find you want to change the other as well; the color of newer bulbs often does not match the color of the old, even if both have the same "color temperature" rating.
