Does anybody know details about Lorinser LO 15". There are plenty of 16" rims on R107 but do 15" ET29 fit to 300 SL 1986 (R107). Which models they are made for ?. Are they rare ?. Any ideas about value ?.

Not as desirable as 8x16's. Probably worth around $350 - $400 US. Do you have photos of any markings on the backside of the wheels?

The coding on LOs is:
LOwwddboo

Ww=width
Dd=diameter
B=number lugs
Oo=offset

If you can get a more panned out shot of the backside, we might be able to make a guess as to whether the would fit the front of a gen2. However, since the lip side looks the same as an 8x16et22 I think the pictures wheels must have less space for the protruding calipers than the 8x16 et22 that apparently fit a gen2.
Less width=less space behind wheel face
Higher offset means mounting plate it closer to the outer edge of the wheel=less spacer for caliper.

So my guess is that these are a no-go.
7mm less due to offset
6mm less due to the smaller width (half the difference in wheel widths)

That is about a half inch less clearance assuming he same lip size... But who knows maybe the fins in the back don't need to be as thick for a smaller wheel. I don't know but would love to find out.

A couple of shots from back of the wheels. Backspace are 138 mm.
How much is a maximum backspace for post-85 R107 without spacers.
Which Mercedes this Et29 Lorinsers are made for ?. W124?

Take a straight edge that is small enough to fit inside the back of the wheel, and lay it across the mounting plate. Then measure at various points how much space there is between the straight edge and the back of the wheel face. You need about an inch and a half (or is it just an inch?). So you see that by adding spacers you increase the measurement.

There is a thread called something like "wheel spacers for tapered hubs" here in the 107 forum. Google that one up. I put lots of info in that thread. Ah.. Here it is http://www.benzworld.org/forums/r-c107-sl-slc-class/1530458-wheel-spacers-tapered-hubs-2.html#post5037457

The clearance looks a lot like this 16x8 Et37

and I know they don't fit a 300SL just like an Et11:(
