Hey everyone, I've been looking around for brake kits for my two W163's both with 17 inch wheels. All I've found is OEM spec brake but I'd like something a little more performance oriented. I've seen the sizes 303mm and 345mm thrown around a bit, will any 5 lug 303 or 345mm rotor and caliper fit, provided it can clear the inside of the rim? Or is there some other dimension I need to verify for a fit? I'm not well versed in brakes and this will be my first DIY brake job, I'm fairly confident but worst case scenario I have mechanic and handy friends and family if I do need help. Any suggestions and active links are appreciated, thank you!

You could try converting to the brembo brakes that came out on the V8's. you will have to check that the larger brakes don't hit your rims. I thought the later 350's came with the bigger brakes. It may of been an option on the sports edition.

Sounds good, this might be the 345mm rotor I heard about. I've noticed aftermarket parts are hard to find for W163's and a lot of mercedes in general. Do you know any good websites I could check out? Forum searches usually come up with websites from 2005 or super outdated websites.

fcpeuro.com is good. Lifetime replacement guarantee (for as long as you own your car).
