I'm looking for logo projector lights. Open the door and the MB logo illuminates the ground below. Looked all over the web and I can't seem to find them for a 89' 420SEL anywhere. Anyone help me out?

The led units? They’re pretty generic. You mount it (usually drilling a hole in the door pointed down), splice into the door light’s power, and get one with a generic MB logo of your choosing.

I’ve never seen them as car specific, other than the projected image.

yeah, I was hoping to find something that replaces what is already there. Not looking to drill, just looking to pop in a replacement unit. thanks though!

Feel that. I would expect you could find one and fit it to the lens cover. That wouldn’t be hard at all.

Great point! I suppose I could drill out a hole in the original plastic light cover and plastiweld in the new projector bulb. I'm going to hit up the junk yard and find a few to test on. Worst case scenario, I learn to live with disappointment. I'll report back after I finish the project.

They don’t make a pop in lens with the projector to fit these cars . You either need to drill the metal or Modify a spare old lens

I'm hardly a purist, but have to admit, these look cheap. I would rather upgrade to a brighter LED bulb and call it a day.

That's probably what I'll end up doing since I can't seem to find anything I like. I'd just like to get a white light shining a star without the typed "mercedes benz". And no blue light colors(too modern looking). A clear white light would make it look like it could've come from the factory. Even though it never did.

Pretty sure there are some where you send them the image. And others where you can place your image onto literal disks, and then you can swap out the disks.

I know I looked at a few with the changeable, custom disks for my Miata.

I bought some on eBay. They were great at first, but after a bit, they really don't show up. Just my $.02.

That's because the films are plastic.It will go melt after working some time.
