I ordered replacement mats from the dealers, while they were slightly more expensive than cheapest online offers, the dealer provided high-quality product. My indy suggested this, otherwise I wouldn't ever consider dealing with a stealer.

ebay oem floor mats are in the $70 range and add shipping sometimes. From the dealer I paid $40 for the same oem mats at the dealer and no shipping and arrived in a few days. In fact, once he quoted me the price I said "order me two sets".

FWIW you'd be supprised at how many times used parts on ebay are more expensive than the same NEW part at the dealer. and many times new ebay parts are noticeably more expensive than the same part from the dealer.

If you got to the dealer/supplier, have your VIN number handy so they can order the correct color.
I bought mine from The Parts Depot
I already tried this one with no luck :frown the prolem is the color. Nobody has them in Brown.

Do you think the dealer could get them in Brown? Maybe I should call.

dealer can tell you. give them your VIN # and Color codes.

What I do know is that some colors are getting scarce. When I checked for mine (parchment/champagne etc.) there were like 4 sets left in the U.S. I ordered two of the sets. that was over 6 months ago. Sometimes they can get them from germany, still no freight charges. But once they are gone, unless MB does another run, they are basically gone.

And if you want them with the MB logo, MB is the only place you can get them AFAIK. they don't license anyone else to use the logo.

If you can't get the color from MB, GGBailey will make you a set that is virtually identical to the MB mats, except for the logo. In fact I wouldn't be a bit suprised if GGBailey euro division is the OEM supplier to MB. the fabric, weight, foam backing, serging is virtually identical to the MB OEM mats.

Brown Floor Mats.....

I'm trying to find Brown floor mats for my car. They are hard to find. I want OEM style with emblem. Let me know if you can help.

Thanks!

My SL had brown floor mats when I bought it but I don't think they were the original ones that came with it from the factory. My SL is Smoke Silver w/ a Mushroom & Cream interior. The brown floor mats are in pretty good condition but thought "why not get new ones?" (wishful thinking) :eek

Went to the local MB Dealer (in June 13') & they said Brown was no longer available because they are no longer in production. :eek :crying

Looked on E-Bay, Amazon & other various on-line MB distributors & brown is the ONLY MB Floor Mat color they don't have!! :eek

If you're able to find the brown Floor Mats.....let me know cause I'd like to get a second set. (they hide the dirt real well) :grin

FWIW your mat's are the original ones that came with the car. How do I know? well, the ones that came with the car have two snaps on the drivers mats to attach it to the floor to the snaps on the floor, and the passenger mat would have a "tab" of material at the bottom with one snap to match the snap on the passenger side.

why the original replacement mats are minus the snaps I don't know. it's easy to add the snaps to the drivers side mat. not so on the passenger side since the mat is actually different.

I would suggest you buy mushroom or beige mats and sell these Brown ones. Your car would look much better don't you think? :devil

My Brown Floor Mats

Went to the Dealer yesterday & he looked up & found that MB had at least a 1/2 dozen different Floor Mat color options available for the 97 600. :eek

Brown was one of them so I guess those were my factory Floor Mats. :smile

After looking at the interior again I realize the Brown Mats accent the interior. very nicely. They even match the Steering Wheel!! :grin

Most importantly......they hide the dirt!!:devil

I'll keep em & will take even better care of them cause now I know they're as scarce as hens teeth!! :wink
