I am looking to downsize (both physically and monetarily) on my car. I was hoping to get some advice from you guys here on the best approach for selling this car. I know it's not a car for everyone and because of this niche, finding the right buyer can be difficult. I look forward to some help.

Sorry man it sucks but a E55 is a loser these days. Even worse is the 03 55' i have seen down in the mid 30s already.

your asking more than clean retail. More realisticly expect to actually sel it at 19 or 18.

Oil is going to 100 a barrel.. $4 a gallon soon. Consumer confidence is down, the green revolution is upon us.

Suggestion for you

If you live in SoCal I would tell you to drive it over the boarder and leave the key inside and buy yourself a beef burrito than when you come go nhome report it stolen in LA and collect the replacement value.

Really, that a reasonable price. I would buy it for the price 7 months ago. It will be hard to sell your rear wheel, gas guzzzer during winter. I would wait til spring or summer. Good luck with the car!

Thanks for the info guys. I figure that the rarity of the White color would warrant a slightly higher price tag. Plus my car is meticulously documented, dealer maintained and recently serviced. We'll see how it goes, worst case I'll keep it. I owe around 18,500 on her so anything less than that wouldn't work out for me.

white is very sexy on W210 E55... but I don't think it's worth more than a $500-$1000 premium. I would say 20-21k is a good starting point.

No warranty can also be a hard point for buyers. Good luck with the sale!

Im sure its a nice car, but I don't think you're gonna get many takers on the white color premium.

Its gonna be a tough sell for a 7 year old car with 60k miles that people perceive as an expensive gas guzzler.

If it had burlwood and navigation, Id take a look at it, but without those options, its not for me.

Definitely doesn't have Nav but I'm not sure what the wood actually is. It doesn't look like any of the other ones I've seen. It's a darker wood with visible grains.

I would love to see some pics. of your white beast, nice color! Regardless, the wood that you have in yours is Black Birdseye Maple, just FYI. If I could find someone to buy mine then I'd consider yours because I love white on the W210's. You never know, we'll see!

Of course we would work on price and I'm not worried about shipping. I have 4 warehouse/showroom locations in NY and NJ combined with a truck twice a month to LA. I'm still not sure I should sell mine with all of the work and money in it but white is sure enticing. Post some pics. will ya!

Why are you letting her go. Honestly if its the fact that you need the cash do to kids, wifey or ecom, then sure, but sh*t you own a sweet ride. If your looking to upgrade then sure, but from where I stand, I'd just keep here. Your going to miss her the first 3 days she leaves your hands, then what ever you push after that won't be the same. No if your going to downsize in a sense to a lower model, same make, then trade get cash and don't loose the feeling of pushing a W210.
