Any good advice for me as I shop around? Common problems to look out for.

So far I have found a black on black E350 that appears to have the sport body kit on it (like my C class). AWD. 22k miles. The wheels are AMG replicas (5 spoke, silver). I'm guessing they are not stock? Tires dont have much left in them.

The e500 has many issues espically the 2003-2004.
My 2003 e500 has had
3 airmatic suspension struts replaced
Drivers side door loack actuator replaced
Third Brake light repleced
2 batteries replaced
Battery Control Module replaced
Change over heat control valve Replaced
All at my own cost. keep in mind Airmatic Suspension $1200-$2000 to fix per strut. Make sure you have a deep pocket for repairs as any third party warrenty company will gladly accept your money for a warrenty but make every excuse under the sun as to why they cannot cover an issue. Buyer beware

I personally would opt for the RWD e350 as it has the 7speed trans... the less parts the better I say... 350 should last you for a long time to come....no air suspension or fancy options to break and leave you in the money pit.

Here is my 2 cents..

purchase 2009 E350 14k miles 4 weeks ago. problems so far

1. air compressor - pulley - belt changed ( warranty)
2. lifter's diagnose today. will get car back tomorrow.

So far i took my car in twice in 3 weeks let just say may be it my bad luck or bad apple.

Time will tell any more problems i think i am done with Mercedes will go back to my lexus LS460 or BMW 535Xi

08 E350 4M took delivery from new...

1) Had a fuel pump failure at only 500 miles, got stranded and required flat bed towing to the dealer (warranty).
2) One gas shock was shot with squeaks (warranty).
3) Tranny oil seal leak (warranty).

Other than those, the car has been trouble free so far.
