automatic with 185,000 miles on it. It will be used as a local daily drive. Should I run away or it is worth at least a look? What are things I should look for on this type of car?

Personally, I have spent about 6 months to get a 91 560 SEL back to "like new" shape so I have some tools and basic knowledge of an old Mercedes.

I was told there are few service records and the car drives fine. Will this also be a RWD car? What is the HP and typical gas mileage? Are parts readily available?

For a person with moderate mechanical skills the 2.3L is easy to work on, much more so than the 2.6 I-6 because of all the room in the engine bay. Expect average MPG to be in the low to mid 20's, combined HWY and CTY driving, or roughly 280-300 miles per tank. Parts are still plentiful, both new and used.

The high cost maintenance items on the W201 are the air conditioning system, the cooling/heating system and all the rubber suspsension pieces. Everthing else is typically cosmetic or minor repair issues.

RWD and horsepower around 130 BHP.
