One of my customers has a 2001 CLK430. His primary concern is that when he rotates the ignition switch to the START position, the engine rotates many revolutions before it starts... I tend to agree with him. There are times (not many) when the engine will start almost in an instant. Once running, the engine functions quite well with no power loss or hesitation. I initially thought that we had a fuel delivery problem, but I don't believe that with the way the engine performs. Any ideas on what might cause this problem?
