You think so because you remember most of them when they were introduced.:D
Well, from the fifty's onward anyways.
When I was a kid, new-car introductions were big events. Dealership windows were papered over to prevent the public from seeing the new stuff before the appointed date. Cars were moved around under cover of darkness. For some odd reason, Buicks fascinated me.
It was all so exciting!

I bet you felt the same way about the new Cords.

The Cord. One of the first model cars I built as a child. Always been a favorite. One of the greatest disappointments of my life was when my dad was going to buy a '57 Chevy Nomad but waited to see what the '58s looked like. Ended up with a 2 tone green 4 door '58 wagon.:crybaby2::crybaby2:

Disappointed then, or disappointed now?
I have an aunt who had a new 57 T-Bird... She traded it for a Sunbeam Tiger... She totaled the Tiger. That's a disappointing story, both then and now...

Still Disappointed. Three boys would have fought over it when he sold the '58 in '76. We didn't fight over the '58 although it was a great date and party cruiser.

In my teens, back in the 70s, I habitually bought used Hot Rod magazines from the local used book store. The owner also handed out smokes. Turns out he was a pedophile.........but I digress.

I'll always remember this Pontiac ad in one of the mags..........

GTO......a car for GO!

That's great!!!!! What year was that ad?

Sorry if this ad has already been posted, but I found this one when I first was looking for a 450SL. According to the image file name, this features a 1974 model.
