After reading all the posts I've decided to change the shocks to Koni's. I'd like to install myself to save some $ but I need to know how difficult a task it is on this car. I've changed shocks on an old jeep and an old chevy p/u but from glancing under the car I would deduct this is a much more involved procedure. Can you advise me? Thanks

Changing the shocks is not very difficult on a CLK, providing that you can compress it a little.

It very easy since you changed your Jeep shock before. The only hard parts is try to find...........

the only thing you need to watch out is that you might need to re-use the factory "black&q....

Most likely, your Koni's will not come with a sleeve, so use EVERY part from your existing shock.
