light question in dash

May I ask for help on a problem I have? This may be a simple fix, but I'm not sure what it is. I have a '00 CLK430, and the left half of my temperature controls went dim (the left middle display bar, and the backlighting of the bottons above and below the left side). Because just the left side went dim, are there seperate bulbs back there that I can get at and change? Also, may I ask how to get behind there to change them, or if I should? Thank you in advance for your help.
