Often when i hit a bump while driving, the left speakers cut out and then sometimes come back on at subsequent bumps.
Where should I begin trouble shooting?
The car is a 1991 300se which I recently purchased.

check your amp..behind the back seat on the left and right hand side etc.

Also check your fader switch in the middle console. Sometimes those rotary knobs get dust down in them and short out. Blow some compressed air down into there using a pressurized air duster that you use to clean computer keyboards while rotating the fader knob back and forth.

my 89 420sel dose the same thing along with the left side dash light i just notice it last night
