The later seat frames are slightly different, notably in different springs, hardware, etc.
Leather Skin Swap Question
Recently swapped out my worn out MB-Tex driver's side skin with a nice one I pulled from a local junk yard. Did the passenger to driver side swap, albeit, from the donar car; worked.
Probably more elbow grease than just pulling the whole seat, but a whole lot cheaper ...and easier to transport.
Anyway, left me wondering, are the later leather skins a direct swap (over the MB-Tex style) or not?
I see there's padding and pleating differences but lots of that's in the batting sewn to the skin. Anyone out there done this?
