Leaking valve cover gasket for 98 E320

Hi all,

The valve cover gasket of my 98 E320 is leaking a lot of oil. I am thinking about replacing the gasket myself. I read the article in the DIY section. I has very detailed description of the procedure and nice pictures but it missed the most important part which is the location of the bolts that holds down the cover and the picture of surrounding area of the bolt.

I tried to loosen a bolt that I though it might be the one that holds down the valve cover but I couldn't do it. I have the special star socket and the extension bar but the angle was just not right for me to apply the force.

I need the help to identify the bolts that holds down the cover.

Thanks for your help.

What is the MAF that needs to be disconnected?

I have a E320 4Matic Wagon 2004 (W211 - M112) and since this forum generated the Bansai and YM DIY posts http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w21...-tips-diys-power-train-drive.html#post3573138), I thought I'd post my question here instead of the W211 one. The passenger (right) side valve cover is leaking oil and the left isn't doing well either. I'd like to replace both sides following instructions in the two posts.

Bansai says to remove the MAF. Is this the engine cover with the air filter box or is it the component that receives air after the air filter?

Also, the service note says that the fuel line should be depressurized and disconnected - this is not mentioned in Bansai/YM posts. Do I need to do this? My Wagon has the inflexible fuel presure line.
