Hi All
Would like the groups help!
I'm looking at a 1987 LA 911B42(not a unimog I know but not sure where to post)and all the info does not sound good which seems wrong to me and would like some info please.

How bad is the fuel economy(I've read 42l per 100km)?

What sort of speed do they achieve?

Any other problems that these vehicles have?

Hoping for a reply

I've never had a lot to do with the 911, but 42L/100km seems quiet excessive for an OM352. What's the VIN and ill see if i can look it up on the EPC. Can I ask what end purpose you have for the vehicle?

Thanks for the reply.

So what would be expected from this sort of vehicle 25-30l per100km?

What would be a normal speed?

Can you change to high speed diffs(would like to cruise at 90-95kph)?

Most importantly are they as reliable as they say?

Thanks

Sorry Max, I was interviewing people for work today so I never got a chance to look up the bus on the EPC. I will do my best to get on tomorrow and see what's fitted standard and what options they spec for the rear end. Unless Trev the EPC wiz beats me while I'm asleep!!
Cheers

I think it would make a great camper... I like the windows and 4x4 is always nice.

But it was a mountain country tour bus so I am betting it has some real low gearing, and that would eliminate using it as an open road highway machine.

Probably possible to change the R&P on both axles, but who knows...
