Hi, I get a knock sound when the front wheels go over a pot hole. I assume its the anti roll bar bushes?, remember having a simliar sound on my CL and it was the bushes.

Are they a column fault on the w220?

thanks

my 2005 with 28k miles does the same thing over speed bumps. I could be wrong, but, I don't suspect it's ball joints or anything else other than the airmatic suspension trying to compensate to the sudden change....

You are spot on with the Sway-bar bushings.. I have had mine done once already and I have another lower control arm (left both times) waiting to be installed on it again.. I have ~96K on it, I also got the sway bar dog-bone as it has a bushing on it, so I figured while I was in there I would do both to save me a repeat adventure.. I got the parts from a place in AZ if I remember right, I think it is call "All Mercedes", they had great prices and an after market choice on the control arm, $87 vs $325 for the OEM.... They had both available if you want the MB part.... This appears to be a weak link so to speak in the front suspension.. But the roads her in New England SUCK to be fair.........
