I bought a 2004 w209 CLK 11 months ago. It has the keyless go system. I can start the engine. I can lock and unlock via the boot. I can unlock from the driver's side but not lock. I cannot unlock or lock from the passenger side.
I finally decide to DIY this frustrating problem.
I searched the net for all possible solutions and discussions on this issue. There are quite a few articles and discussions out there.

Basically, most indicate the problem is the actual door handles themselves. At more than NZ$500 a pop and that is not a cheap solution.
I needed a way to test and confirm this is indeed the problem before ordering a new handle.

I can happily report that there is a way to test your "keyless go" door handle to confirm they are faulty or not.

Also I have not found any articles of what is inside these keyless go door handles...so I decided to take one apart; get some photos and enlighten others.
See attached PDF files....

Good post, eng_nz. Not that I have Keyless Go myself, but it was an interesting solution. Hopefully we will be hearing more from you on this forum. :)

Would you please add your profile with User CP at the top of the page ^^^ as your model/year/location often helps with replies to questions here.
