Hi all,

I just got my 1st Mercedes a few weeks ago and I have a question that's
been bugging me. I have 2 keys for the car, one is plain and the other has
2 little red beads on the handle.

What do the little red beads mean?

The plain key works just fine in all the locks, but the beaded key is sticking
in the ignition lock. And it is a lot more worn that the plain key. Should I
be thinking about replacing the keys and the locks on the car? Or, should
I just get a new key cut to replace the beaded one?

Thanks!

Take your title/registration/license to a MB dealer and get a new set of keys and a ignition tumbler. takes about 2/3 days to get them.

Master keys $16 ea.
Valet keys $21 ea.
Ignition tumbler $54.00
Master key=red dots
Solid black handle=valet key=it will not open the trunk/roll top/glove box but will work all other locks
