I just purchased a 2016 G550 with 85K miles. At the dealer, the FOB wasn't working when I first went out to the vehicle, however while I was inside the dealership the salesman got the FOB to work and I proceeded to test drive the car without any issues. I ended up purchasing the car, but when I got back home the key FOB was acting up again. It would only work if I was directly in front of the drivers door. Both FOBs (with good batteries, and confirmed IR is functioning with phone camera) exhibited the same problem. That was yesterday. Today, it was acting the same way until the middle of the day when the FOB seemed to be working normally. Only to have it go back to only working directly in front of the drivers door this evening. Also, strange enough, the mechanical keys in both FOBs do not open the drivers door. I can't take it to the dealer until next week. Any ideas on what it could be? Thanks.

Hi Matt. Can I suggest filling out your profile with at least model and year of vehicle? It's really helpful - Complete your Profile
