Back in the days when i had road going two stroke bikes (men were men & sheep were worried) the easiest tuning mod was to fit K&N filters with an increase in the main jet to take advantage of the extra air flow through the engine the filters gave you. If you didn't check/change the jetting you ran the risk of putting a hole in a piston.walsi said:
The increase was minimal but the filter(s) were reusable & that was probably the main benefit, you never had to replace them, just clean & re-oil every service interval.
