G'day all,

New to this forum (in Australia) ... I'm wondering if anyone out there would like to offer an opinion.

Having never owned a Merc before, I'm now considering buying a C200 Kompressor Classic S203 Wagon. It's a 2001 model with 105,500 km on the clock. Are there any issues that I should be aware of or known faults I should be looking for? Is this a good car for touring (comfort, ride and economy)?

Any comments will be appreciated.

I am my no means an expert. Same position as you on fact. My research has shown me to stay away from anything <2005.

If I get a MB C 2003, I will be looking at 2005-2007 years. Plus the interior also looks a lot better.

For what it's worth...My 2004 C240 wagon has been rock solid. I have owned it for over 2 years and have had zero problems. Bought with 41K and it now has 67K. Great Car..love my wagon.
