I've been lurking for a while, but only became a member yesterday. I think it was yesterday - I have a lousy sense of the passage of time LOL. Anyhow, I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to you guys - I had a number of questions about the R500 including the best/right way to lower one, and I got all of the info I needed by perusing this site - I don't know if you know how much the information here helps those of use that are reasonably car smart but unfamiliar with the specifics of modding an R500 get a handle on things. Alot. Trust me
We got my other half a loaded black/black 06 R500 with the AMG/"Sport" package back in '07 - she just bought a new E350 (and of course they offered us squat for the R as a trade - at least it seemed like squat to me...) so I told her to go ahead and buy the new car without tradin' this one in (it's spotless and only has 38k on it so I figured I could sell it fairly easily) but now (surprise) I'm thinkin' hard about buying her car for myself and havin' some fun with it. I put 22's on it for her awhile back (black Avarus AV2s - 9.5"s up front and 10.5"s in the back with 285/35s all the way around) so it looks pretty cool as is, but I doubt I'd leave it alone (I can't leave anything alone) - I'm thinkin' Brabus springs and links to get it sittin' right and maybe a different set of wheels for starters. But I digress...
