they are tiny : ) only 16 inch.. I have to keep the wheel small to get more tyre rubber for that snowdriving. bigger footprint. the lift is only the 16 mm spacer I make.

here you can see some install and mod pictures I have

no this is fine. what we need in the snow and ice here is a wide micro cutted tires. this tire is exelent for driving fast onroad and great for low airpressure driving in the snow ...

You don't find that much snow in El Dorado Hills?
Looks like excellent tires for the snow. I had to turn around our ML on the snow once, when it got too deep.
4 WD will not help, if you are plowing 500 lb of snow with your spoiler.

That was my driveway. LOL.

Actually, just 30 miles East on Highway 50. It is amazing what driving from 1000 feet to 7000 feet will do.

We stopped to get sandwiches on the way and it was snowing lightly. My kids were going nuts playing in the snow piled up in the parking lot. The woman working in the sandwich shop asked, "So where are you from?"...since my kids were obviously excited by the snow..."El Dorado Hills", I replied.

She gave me a "Get out much?"...which then changed to a look of concern as though I were a horrible parent for obviously not driving my kids "up the hill" often enough.

(Background for my friends not familiar with the area...El Dorado Hills is a suburban community in Northern California...with a Mercedes dealership...that is on the very edge of El Dorado County. El Dorado County includes Lake Tahoe, little towns, and and whole bunch of trees. We are sort of oddballs in the county.)

Great pictures starduzt. I had the opportunity to visit your beautiful country in 2003 for a couple of weeks. Loved it and hope to return some day. I could see an ML like yours definitely being an asset!

Dave,
Have u ever gotten a loud buzzing or grinding from braking in mud or snow?
The last time I went to the snow and used my brakes this noise came up and scared the crap out of me! You think it could be debris in my calipers?
thanks
