I just completed the 80 mm Throttle Body mod. My first impressions are that the little monster pulls harder than before and the increased throttle response is noticable. The car idles about 200 revs higher than before and it takes almost no pressure on the throttle to maintain freeway speeds. I am running an ECU upgrade from Renntech. Do you think the ECU will adapt to the bigger TB and drop the idle speed and also allow for a bit more throttle at freeway speeds or do I need to have the ECU remapped?

My list of mods are: Renntech package plus (pulley, heat exchanger, IC pump and ECU upgrade), EvoSport ceramic headers, larger plug wires, phenolic intake spacers and VRP 80mm TB.

Thanks guys

I have been driving the car around today and it seems the ECU is adapting to the new TB. The idle has dropped to nearly where it was before and seems to be a bit smoother. I have also noticed a bit more pressure on the throttle is needed to maintain freeway (70) speeds. Now I need to get the car out to the track to see if I shaved a tenth or two off of my 1/4 mile times.:)
