at 175,000, our mechanic recommended rebuilt tranny. many suggested the b2 piston went out, but we figured, if we really wanted a reliable car, so reliable we could drive across america if we wanted to, we decided to go with the rebuilt tranny. the 420 runs great now. the car feels tighter and more solid. the car is ready for another 20+ years...heck lets say a lifetime.
